Hybrid Coverage

How we use AI (and how we don’t)

dev|cut. is a true hybrid. We don’t hide the engine and we don’t let it work alone.

Get coverage How it works
The Split

Neither half works as well alone. Here is exactly who does what.

01

What the engine does

Structured, multi-pass analysis built specifically for coverage: structure, character, dialogue, tone, market positioning and buyer-fit, with parallels drawn from a reference archive of produced film and television.
02

What the reader does

Brian Hanford, a working development producer and former script reader, reviews every finding, calibrates it to your format, genre and goals, writes a personal Reader’s Note and signs the report. Nothing reaches you without that sign-off.
03

What we never do

We never use your script to train, fine-tune or improve any AI model, and your script is used only to produce your coverage. (Terms of Service, section 31.)
04

Why hybrid

The engine gives depth and consistency no single reader could match on a deadline; the reader gives the judgment, taste and industry context no engine has. Together they deliver a full report within 72 hours.
“The format for this type of coverage works very well for a writer like myself because it builds to the actual reader’s coverage. What you have here is very special because it is not only AI coverage, but following up everything with ‘Human’ coverage makes it feel like a genuinely useful tool.”
